NFL Rumors on Raiders, Cardinals HC Searches, Vance Joseph Interest amid Giants Buzz
Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is reportedly receiving interest from the majority of teams with head coaching vacancies so far this offseason.
Joseph is expected to interview this week for head coaching positions with the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic mentioned the Atlanta Falcons are also in the mix:

Meanwhile, the Cardinals also has requested an interview with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. Saleh previously went 20-36 in three-plus seasons as coach of the New York Jets.
The Cardinals and Raiders will also both interview Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Additionally, Arizona requested to interview Patriots passing game coordinator Thomas Brown:
Arizona is also scheduled to interview Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver on Friday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
As for the Raiders, they've also requested to interview Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb for their head coaching job, per Pelissero. Schefter reported Webb will interview with Las Vegas on Wednesday.
The Cardinals already have ties to Joseph, who served as Arizona's defensive coordinator for four seasons before joining the Broncos in 2023.
This season, the Broncos ranked second in the NFL in yards allowed and third in points allowed on their way to clinching the AFC's top seed.
That gained the Broncos a first-round bye, during which Joseph can interview for jobs before returning to prepare for divisional round.
Joseph will only be available for virtual interviews during the bye week. How long he is unavailable after that depends on how far the Broncos get in the playoffs.
Should the Broncos get all the way to the Super Bowl, Joseph would next be allowed to speak to teams from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1 (h/t the Associated Press' Josh Dubow).
Only teams who have virtually interviewed Joseph during this current period will be able to meet with him in person during that period, according to Dubow.
He would then not be allowed to talk to other teams again until the day after the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, per Dubow.
Joseph has previous head coaching experience with the Broncos, whom he led to a 11-21 record while coaching the team from 2017 to 2018.
He has helped the Broncos build an elite defense in his second stint with the team, helping Denver rank top-three in rushing yards allowed in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The Broncos finished the season ranked No. 2 in rushing yards allowed and No. 7 in passing yards allowed.
The Giants and Titans have had head coaching vacancies for months following midseason dismissals of Brian Daboll and Brian Callahan.
Now that the Raiders and Cardinals have parted ways with Pete Carroll and Jonathan Gannon, respectively, those two teams will have more competition as they line up head coaching candidates for 2026.
