Myles Garrett, Jordan Brand Agree to Contract After Browns Star's NFL Record 23rd Sack

Andrew PetersJan 4, 2026

Myles Garrett made history on Sunday when he recorded his 23rd sack — the most ever in a single season.

After breaking the sack record, Jordan Brand announced a new deal for the Cleveland Browns' star pass rusher.

"It's only right, as he set the record at 23…..a number that's synonymous with Greatness," the shoe company wrote.

His 23rd sack surpassed New York Giants legend Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt, who previously held the record with 22.5 sacks.

Garrett, who will almost certainly win his second Defensive Player of the Year award this year, needed just one sack heading into Sunday's season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he picked it up in the fourth quarter.

"It was everything I expected," Garrett told reporters after the game. "It was so tough. I knew they were going to make it difficult, but s--t, I don't think I saw more than three singles on a real drop back the whole game. I just knew that, if I did, I'd have to make that moment count. And the feeling couldn't be better."

The Browns struggled again this season, finishing 5-12 and missing the playoffs for a second consecutive year. While 2025 was mostly a year to forget for Cleveland, Garrett made it memorable with one of the best individual seasons ever.
