Jets Make NFL History by Failing to Record Defensive INT During 2025-26 Season
As if the 2025 season couldn't get any more embarrassing for the New York Jets, they now own another dubious record.
After finishing without an interception in Sunday's 35-8 loss against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets are the first team in NFL history to fail to record an interception over an entire season. Per ESPN's Rich Cimini, interception statistics started being recorded in 1933.

Players and Teams That Want Draft Redo 🔄
The game wasn't very competitive from the start, as the Bills scored a touchdown on their opening drive and took a 21-0 lead into halftime. Star quarterback Josh Allen played one snap before giving way to veteran backup Mitchell Trubisky and joining a slew of other starters on the bench.
The Jets were overmatched on both sides of the ball as they closed the book on a disastrous first year under head coach Aaron Glenn. The team already fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks and will likely be making more changes across the coaching staff and the roster this season.
It remains to be seen how Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey will execute their vision, but the 2025 season will go down as one of the worst seasons in the history of a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 straight years. However, it's clear that finding defensive players and coaches who can help create turnovers will be at the top of the agenda.
