NFL Trade Rumors on Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray as Potential Raiders QB Targets
The Las Vegas Raiders will almost certainly address the quarterback position this offseason and could find themselves in the trade market to do so, with Eric D. Williams of Fox Sports reporting that they would be a "potential landing spot" for Lamar Jackson if the Baltimore Ravens decide to move on.
There have been some rumblings that the Ravens could consider doing so given reports that the two-time MVP has fallen asleep in meetings and his relationship with head coach John Harbaugh is strained (both Jackson and Harbaugh have denied the reports).

But don't count on it.
"Why would [the Ravens] do that?" an NFL executive told Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports. "Whatever issues they have with him, they're a playoff team every year with Lamar. Who's the quarterback there if they trade him?"
"He's a two-time MVP who's not even 30 yet (he turns 29 on Jan. 7), and you're going to replace him with who? Mac Jones? Malik Willis?" the executive continued. "The guy is one of the best quarterbacks of his generation, one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the league. You don't replace him with just another guy. You need a real Plan B if you're going to give away a quarterback like that. A mid-level free agent isn't a plan. 'We'll just find someone in the draft' isn't a plan. It would be different if they had drafted a kid they knew was going to be a star. But they didn't. And they're going to end up giving away two, three playoff seasons trying to find one, when the star is already right there."
If the Ravens do decide to trade him, Vacchiano reported that more teams likely would be interested now than they were two years ago, when the belief around the NFL was that Jackson was seeking a fully-guaranteed deal. Jackson has two years remaining on his five-year, $260 million contract, and taking on that deal and the engaging in the extension talks to follow would be more palatable to suitors than the possibility of a fully-guaranteed pact.
The more likely possibility for the Raiders is Arizona's Kyler Murray.
As Murray reported, "Murray's future in Arizona became cloudy this season with the Cardinals when head coach Jonathan Gannon said he would've been benched for Jacoby Brissett had he been healthy back in November."
Murray, 28, is a two-time Pro Bowler but only played five games this season and was solid if unspectacular in 2024 (8-9 record, 3,851 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 572 yards and five touchdowns on the ground).
The Ravens have been a true Super Bowl contender during Jackson's tenure, and starting from scratch at quarterback would signal a full organizational rebuild. The Cardinals, on the other hand, are finishing up their fourth straight losing season and probably need to retool anyway. Moving on from Murray would be a logical part of that process, and the Raiders would make sense as suitors if they don't love any of this year's quarterback prospects.
