Aaron Rodgers Discusses NFL Future, Retirement Speculation Ahead of Steelers' Week 18
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could be playing his last NFL game on Sunday, when his team hosts the Baltimore Ravens. The winner takes the AFC North and the conference's No. 4 playoff seed, and the loser's season is over.
Rodgers is obviously focused on an important task at hand, but he did briefly talk a bit about what the future might hold on Wednesday, per comments made to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.
"I'm thinking about this week, but obviously I'm 42 years old and I'm on a one-year deal," Rodgers said. "So you know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I'll be a free agent. So that'll give me a lot of options if I still want to play. I mean, not a lot of options, but there'll be options, I would think, maybe one or two, if I decide I still want to play.

"I've enjoyed this experience, and everybody in Pittsburgh has been fantastic to me on and off the field. And it's really what I was hoping for this experience was, it's been even better than I was hoping."
Rodgers said last June that he was "pretty sure" 2025 would be his last season during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
Rodgers has completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 3,028 yards, 23 touchdowns and seven interceptions this year. He's also added one rushing score.
The 42-year-old is a 10-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, four-time NFL MVP and one-time Super Bowl champion. He'll have a home in the Pro Football Hall of Fame down the road, but for now, he's trying to lead the Steelers to the playoffs.
Kickoff on Sunday in Acrisure Stadium is set for 8:20 p.m. ET.
