Damian ParsonJan 20, 2026

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Baylor WR Josh Cameron with the No. 191 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Josh Cameron is a reliable, compact and densely built wide receiver. He combines impressive play-strength, contact balance and yards-after-catch creation to transition into an effective NFL playmaker.

The two-time first-team All-Big 12 wide receiver is a physical route-runner with elusiveness in the open field.

Cameron is a former 0-star recruit who developed into an NFL-caliber target and playmaker. He is a densely-built receiver, who resembles a running back. He projects as a WR2 or third option at the next level.

Where He Wins

2 of 5
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OCT 18 Baylor at TCU

- Cameron is a built like a running back and runs routes with enough physicality to fight through contact. He also snaps off his routes with quality suddenness to create space.

- He excels when running shorter, in-breaking routes, such as slants, whips, hitches and curls. These specific routes showcase his short-area quickness.

- The Baylor product can be a weapon by getting the ball into his hands quickly and letting him go to work. Cameron's play-strength to pinball off contact and wrestle through arm-tackles aids his overall playmaking ability.

- Strong and reliable hands allow the receiver to pluck the football out of the air and away from his frame. As a result, Cameron is a good red-zone target on fade and back-shoulder throws. He helps his cause with late hands to attack the football at the last minute.

- Cameron offers alignment versatility. He can play the Z- and slot-receiver positions to generate advantageous matches.

Areas of Improvement

3 of 5
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: SEP 06 Baylor at SMU

- Cameron's release package in the contact window is telegraphed and easy for cornerbacks to identify and counter.

- Improve refinement of his routes. There are instances of wasted movement that reduce a route's crispness and efficiency.

- He appears to lack the foot-speed and explosiveness to make cornerbacks pay for aligning tight to the line of scrimmage.

- He's susceptible to punches from patient, long-armed cornerbacks, who can disrupt his release and timing.
