Caitlin Clark Talks Nike Signature Shoe Development, Playing With Team USA In Video

Scott PolacekDec 31, 2025

Caitlin Clark's upcoming signature Nike shoe is the realization of a lifelong dream for the Indiana Fever star.

"I grew up wanting to be a Nike athlete, every kid does," she said during an appearance on Wednesday's episode of the New Heights podcast (eight-minute mark). "Nike, Jordan, that's the premiere brand. Everybody knows that."

Her comments come after the released a brand video that just so happened to feature the hosts of the podcasts themselves in Travis and Jason Kelce:

While Clark was a household name before she even entered the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 draft, the release of her signature shoe won't come until after her second season.

"It's probably been like a year and a half now of figuring out what exactly I want," she explained. "I think the most challenging part of it is you want it to be unique, but at the same time I have to be comfortable wearing it."

Clark highlighted the importance of the comfort of the shoe on the court and revealed she is excited for the different colorways that will eventually be released. She even told Travis Kelce she hopes to have a Kansas City Chiefs colorway in homage to her favorite NFL team.

Insider Nick DePaula reported the shoe is expected to launch during the spring:

While Clark was limited to just 13 games because of injuries in 2025, she was recently back on the court again as part of Team USA's three-day training camp at Duke with an eye on roster selection for the 2026 FIBA World Cup.

"I wouldn't have wanted it any other way to get thrown back out there with the best players in the world," she said (19-minute mark). "It was only three days, and it was at Duke, which is obviously one of the most historic basketball places ever. That was pretty cool, too."

Clark also added that, "My goal is to be on the Olympic team in 2028. It feels like it's far away, but it's probably way closer than it sounds."

Perhaps she can get a special Olympics colorway for her signature shoe by the time those Games arrive.
