The 28-year-old explained that he'll take time off before his next bout after his jaw was broken in two places during the fight with Joshua. Paul planned to visit his fiancée, Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam, for the 2026 Games in the meantime.

"I'm gonna take some time off to go support Jutta at the Olympics," Paul said. "Then, she's gonna move to Puerto Rico, move her here. Maybe go snowboarding or something."

Paul doesn't have an opponent lined up following the defeat against Joshua, but has been open to suggestions. He appears to be focused on recovering from surgery for now, though.

Paul fell to 12-2 following Friday's result, while Joshua improved to 29-4 with 26 knockouts.
