Josh Allen Downplays Leg Injury Scare After Bills' NFL Playoff Win vs. Jaguars
Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen downplayed a leg injury after appearing to have been shaken up during Sunday's wild-card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Allen said that he was rolled up on after scoring a touchdown in the first quarter, but said, "We're good." Buscaglia added that Allen was limping in the locker room after the game.
Allen was also checked for a concussion and hit his finger on a Bills' lineman's helmet during Sunday's contest. He threw for 273 yards and a touchdown while adding 33 rushing yards and two scores on the ground in the win.
A few days later, Allen again noted he was doing okay.
"I feel good," Allen told reporters on Tuesday. "I feel better than I have the last few weeks."
Allen has enjoyed a mostly healthy season, but he suffered a foot injury in the Bills' Week 16 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He didn't have to miss any of the game but was listed as day-to-day heading into a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The foot injury proved to be a minor ailment, however, and Allen was ready to go for the Week 17 matchup against Philadelphia.
Allen had another strong season, throwing for 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while adding 579 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
He and the Bills have championship hopes, but the team's success relies heavily on the reigning MVP's health.
