
Josh Allen Injury Update, Latest on QB's Foot, Status for Bills vs. Eagles
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is set to play in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles despite dealing with a foot injury.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott told WGR 550 that Allen is "trending in the right direction" and will be "ready to play."
Allen missed Tuesday's walkthrough practice with the injury, but told reporters he was planning on playing against the Eagles.
"Feels good. Feels good," Allen said of the injury. "Ready to go."
Allen, 29, put together an MVP season in the 2024 campaign, registering 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions through the air, completing 63.6. percent of his passes while taking just 14 sacks. He also rushed for 531 yards and 12 scores.
He produced at that elite level despite reportedly playing through a fractured left hand throughout the season, his non-throwing hand.
He also hurt his throwing hand in a Week 16 win over the New England Patriots last season, though he ultimately didn't miss any snaps.
"Got a helmet to the funny bone," he told reporters after the game. "I went to throw the next one, and I had no feeling in the hand. Came out a little wobbly. It happens sometimes, but we move on."
"They cleared him to go back and play," head coach Sean McDermott added. "Our medical staff does a great job with, if it's not safe for a player, they're not going to put him back out there. I trust them, and they gave a green light to go back out there."
This season he's thrown for 3,406 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, completing 69.6 percent of his passes. He's also rushed for 552 yards and 12 scores.
