Quinshon Judkins Suffers Gruesome Injury, Latest on Browns RB After Being Carted Off

Doric SamDec 21, 2025

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills, head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters.

Judkins is expected to need four to five months to recover, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also reported that Judkins is being evaluated for a knee injury.

The Browns announced that Judkins had officially been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Judkins suffered the injury after catching a pass and being tackled by Bills linebacker Matt Milano. His leg appeared to be bent in an awkward position, and he was in visible pain immediately as medical personnel from both sidelines rushed to tend to him.

Before getting injured, Judkins ran the ball eight times for 22 yards while adding a team-high five receptions for 29 yards.

A second-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Ohio State, Judkins has been one of the lone bright spots in a disappointing year for the Browns, who are currently 3-11. He entered Sunday's game leading all rookies with 805 rushing yards on 222 carries while adding a team-high seven rushing touchdowns.

Judkins' injury was another tough blow for an overmatched Cleveland team against a Buffalo squad seeking its fourth straight win. Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders also suffered a finger injury in Sunday's game, though he was able to return near the end of the first half.

The Browns will be hoping to avoid any further disasters as the 2025 season winds down, but it won't be easy for them to get over the loss of Judkins following his promising start to his career.
