Latest NFL Rumors on Titans HC Search, Chiefs Assistant Seen As 'Serious Candidate'
Heading into their final three games of the season, the Tennessee Titans have formed a long list of head-coaching candidates that could be led by Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Nagy is considered as a "serious candidate" for the job within the Titans organization.
Other candidates the Titans could seek out at least for an interview include defensive coordinators Lou Anarumo, Chris Shula, Jeff Hafley, Anthony Campanile, Jesse Minter and Matt Burke.

2026 NFL Mock Draft Chaos Edition 💣

1 Prospect Each Team Must Avoid in 2026 NFL Draft
Brian Callahan became the first head coach fired during the 2025 season when he was let go by the Titans on Oct. 13 after a 1-5 start.
Things haven't gone much better for interim head coach Mike McCoy, who has lost seven of his first eight games.
Even though the Titans are facing the possibility of finishing with the NFL's worst record for a second consecutive season, they are actually in a good position to appeal to sought-after head coaching candidates.
Cam Ward's stat line doesn't look great with 2,638 yards, 11 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 59.3 completion percentage, but a studied look at his performance shows how much promise he has when the circumstances around him improve.
Tennessee's leading pass-catcher this season is tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo with 459 yards. The starting receivers right now are Elic Ayomanor and Van Jefferson.
There is a lot of work to be done with this roster for the Titans to become competitive, but the combination of Ward and a potential top-three pick in the 2026 draft is a good starting point.
Nagy is an obvious connection for the Titans because general manager Mike Borgonzi worked with him for eight seasons in Kansas City.
The 47-year-old Nagy also has four years of head-coaching experience when he was with the Chicago Bears from 2018 to '21. He won Coach of the Year in his first season after leading the Bears to a 12-4 record and an NFC North title.
After being fired by the Bears in January 2022, Nagy returned to Kansas City as an assistant on Andy Reid's staff. He has been the offensive coordinator for the past three seasons.
