Shedeur Sanders' Attitude Praised by Browns HC Stefanski Amid Rookie NFL Season
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski praised rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders for his mental resilience following last Sunday's blowout loss to the Chicago Bears.
Sanders, who was named QB1 for the remainder of the season on Dec. 8, followed that up six days later by recording an NFL career-high three picks in Chicago.
"He's got the same attitude every single day, which you expect from quarterbacks. You have to, in this league, be able to turn the page after a loss," Stefanski told reporters Wednesday about Sanders. "You've got to be able to turn the page after a win. You just can't take that previous game with you, and I think he does a great job of that."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Sanders, who began his rookie season taking reps behind Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel, slowly climbed the quarterback depth chart before earning his first NFL start in Week 12.
After leading the Browns to a win over the Las Vegas Raiders that week, Sanders has since gone 0-3 against the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears.
Those defeats included the best start of Sanders' career so far. During the loss to the Titans, he became the first player in Browns franchise history to record 300 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the same game.
The stretch has also featured struggles from some of Sanders' targets, including wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, whose bobbled catch last Sunday led to one of the three interceptions by the Bears.
Stefanski said the day after the Bears matchup that Sanders had "some good throws down the field" and "made some explosive plays" in the loss, per cleveland.com's Irie Harris.
"There's definitely plays that he wants back, that he can be better, whether it's a decision or a ball or those types of things," Stefanski said Monday about Sanders. "But I thought he fought till the end and has the right attitude that he'll just keep learning from all of these experiences."
Sanders will get his next shot at what could be an audition to start for the Browns next season during a Week 16 home game against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
The rookie quarterback will be tasked with taking on the second-most effective passing defense in the NFL when Sunday's matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
