B/R's Week 16 PPR Fantasy Football 2025 Player Rankings
Where once there were many, now there are few.
In most fantasy football leagues, Week 16 is the semifinals of the playoffs. By the time the dust settles in Indianapolis Monday night, we will know which two teams will play for the title in Week 17.
That also means there is no margin for error. The teams still playing are loaded with productive players. There are no gimme matchups anymore. Every point is precious. Every lineup decision can be the one that snatches victory from the jaws of defeat—or vice versa.
It's more pressure than realizing you haven't done any Christmas shopping yet.
Bleacher Report is here to help you make it to Championship Week with position-by-position PPR rankings, breakout and bust candidates, sleeper picks and top overall flex options.
Quarterbacks
1 of 6.jpg)
The story of the quarterback position in fantasy leagues this year has been one of carnage, and Week 15 was no exception.
The latest signal-caller to fall prey to the injuries that have ravaged the position was Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. But fantasy's No. 2 QB is hardly the only prominent passer to miss time in 2025.
Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders has missed most of the season. Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens has sat out multiple games, as has Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Philip Rivers is starting under center for the Indianapolis Colts this week—in 2025.
That tells you all you need to know.
Week 16 Quarterback Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 16
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (vs. PIT) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,300]
Goff ranks just inside the top-10 fantasy quarterbacks for the season, but he's coming off his second-best fantasy outing of the season and faces a Steelers team allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in 2025.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (at DAL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
Herbert's fantasy production hasn't been great since he broke his left hand, but if ever there was a week for him to blow up this is it. No team has given up more fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Cowboys.
Players to Avoid in Week 16
Jaxson Dart, New York Giants (vs. MIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,800]
Dart has quickly become a favorite son of the fantasy community, largely due to his ability to gain yards with his legs. But the sledding won't be easy in Week 16 against a Vikings defense surrendering the fewest fantasy points in the NFC to quarterbacks.
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars (at DEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900]
Lawrence exploded last week against the New York Jets, throwing five touchdown passes and running for another. But the Broncos pose a far stiffer test—Denver is fifth in the league in total defense.
Week 16 Sleeper
Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers (at DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000]
Rodgers has been quietly solid of late and is ninth among quarterbacks in fantasy points over the past two weeks. The Steelers are going to have to throw the ball to have a chance of taking down the Lions at Ford Field.
Running Backs
2 of 6.jpg)
On a per-carry basis, the 2025 season has been nothing to write home about for San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey—his 3.6 yards per carry represents a career low.
However, all fantasy managers care about is points, and he is piling them up in 2025.
Only two running backs have more carries this season than the 29-year-old. He has a whopping 345 touches—35 more than any other player. Not only is he leading all running backs in PPR points, but he has also failed to amass 15 points just once in 14 games.
The "Curse of 370" looms for McCaffrey in 2026, but that's for the future.
The present has been pretty good for CMC.
Week 16 Running Back Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 16
Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers (vs. TB) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,300]
Chuba Hubbard is back for the Panthers, but Dowdle remains their clear lead back. That should mean good things this week against a Buccaneers team allowing the 10th-most PPR points to running backs.
Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns (vs. BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
Judkins was absolutely abysmal last week against the Chicago Bears. But the Bills have struggled defending the run this season. Buffalo has given up 143.1 yards per game on the ground—third-most in the league.
Players to Avoid in Week 16
Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars (at DEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,000]
You aren't going to find many fantasy managers willing to sit Etienne after he found the end zone three times last week against the Jets. But no team in the league has given up fewer PPR points to RBs this year than the Broncos.
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers (at DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100]
Warren was out-touched 20-15 last week by Kenneth Gainwell, outgained 126-48, and he faces a Lions team that ranks last in the NFC in PPR points surrendered to running backs. Other than that, everything is great.
Week 16 Sleeper
Audric Estime, New Orleans Saints (vs. NYJ) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000]
Alvin Kamara has missed multiple games with a knee injury, and Devin Neal picked up a hamstring injury last week against the Panthers. That could leave Estime as the team's lead back in a plus matchup for the position with the Jets.
Wide Receiver
3 of 6.jpg)
Sadly, it's official: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is a fantasy bust in 2025.
This analyst wrote a week ago that if the 26-year-old couldn't get going against the non-existent defense of the Dallas Cowboys that it was time to panic.
He led the Vikings with eight targets Sunday night, but while Jalen Nailor was scoring a pair of touchdowns, Jefferson caught two passes for 22 yards.
Jefferson was the second wideout drafted on average over the summer. A top-five pick overall in many drafts. After 14 weeks, he is WR26 in PPR points. And while the Vikings are trying to get him the ball, there's little reason to think he's more than a low-end fantasy WR2 in the playoffs at best.
Week 16 Wide Receiver Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 16
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings (at NYG) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
Jefferson's DFS salary shows just how far he has fallen in the eyes of fantasy pundits. But if you have survived his slump somehow, you've got to roll Jefferson out against a Giants pass defense that isn't markedly better than the Cowboys. What can I say? I'm an enigma.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions (vs. PIT) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,400]
Williams has been on a tear the past three weeks—21 catches, 374 yards, two scores and the second-most PPR points among wide receivers. He's a legitimate fantasy WR1 in a plus fantasy matchup with the Steelers.
Players to Avoid in Week 16
Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders (vs. PHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900]
McLaurin has been solid for fantasy managers the past few weeks, ranking among the top-15 wide receivers in PPR points since Week 13. But the Eagles have surrendered the eighth-fewest fantasy points to wideouts in 2025.
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (vs. CIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,800]
The good news for Waddle is that after a bad game in freezing Pittsburgh, he gets to head back to sunny South Beach in Week 16. The bad news is that the Bengals have allowed the fifth-fewest PPR points to wide receivers this season.
Week 16 Sleeper
Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks (vs. LAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,100]
Who's up for a revenge game? Kupp hasn't been much of a fantasy factor this season, but a Rams team giving up the seventh-most PPR points to wide receivers is sure to double Jaxon Smith-Njigba throughout the contest Thursday night.
Tight Ends
4 of 6.jpg)
We are witnessing the end of an era in Kansas City.
The Chiefs will not make the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. There will be a new AFC West champion for the first time since 2015. Patrick Mahomes has a torn ACL and may not be ready for the start of the 2026 campaign. And while he hasn't made it official, this is probably the end of the road for tight end Travis Kelce.
What a journey it's been, though.
Only Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten have more receiving yards among tight ends than Kelce. Only four TEs have more career touchdowns. From 2016 to 2022, Kelce posted seven straight 80-catch, 1,000-yard seasons.
The 36-year-old wasn't just the best tight end of his generation. He dominated fantasy football to an almost laughable degree for years.
Kelce will get a gold jacket five years after he retires. And he's already in the fantasy Hall of Fame.
Week 16 Tight End Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 16
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (at WAS) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,100]
Goedert has been hot of late, scoring twice a week ago and posting at least 15 PPR points in back-to-back games. Now he faces a Commanders team surrendering the fourth-most PPR points to tight ends this year.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (at ARI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000]
The insertion of Kirk Cousins at quarterback in Atlanta has unlocked Pitts, and while he's unlikely to match last week's ridiculous numbers, he should have another solid game against a Cardinals team allowing the eight-most PPR points to tight ends.
Players to Avoid in Week 16
Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns (vs BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,500]
In a season short on bright spots in Cleveland, Fannin has been one—the rookie is eighth in PPR points at his position. But no team has surrendered fewer fantasy points to tight ends in 2025 than the Bills.
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (vs. LV) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,200]
Schultz is a top-10 fantasy tight end for the season and is coming off his best performance of the season. But backing up last week's 20-plus point outburst won't be easy. The Raiders have given up the fourth-fewest PPR points to tight ends in 2025.
Week 16 Sleeper
Darren Waller, Miami (vs. CIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,500]
A theme has developed in fantasy football this season: Start any tight end who happens to be taking on the Cincinnati Bengals. They are allowing over five more fantasy points per game to TEs than any other team in the NFL.
Team Defenses and Kickers
5 of 6.jpg)
With just two weeks left in the fantasy football season, it's a two-team race to be fantasy's top defense in 2025—one from each conference.
The current leader for the season is the Seattle Seahawks.
It might not be The Legion of Boom, but after 14 games, the 11-3 Seahawks are fourth in the NFL in total defense, seventh against the pass, third against the run and lead the NFC in points allowed per game at 17.3. Seattle's 42 sacks ranks fourth in the league, and its 22 takeaways are fifth.
However, there's a realistic chance the surging Houston Texans could catch Seattle.
With strong fantasy outings in three of their last four contests, the red-hot Texans have closed the gap. Houston is the only defense allowing less than 270 yards per game and the only team in the league allowing less than 17 points per game. The Texans are seventh in the league with 38 sacks and third in takeaways.
Just a dozen fantasy points separate the two, so it ain't over yet.

Players to Watch in Week 16
Buffalo Bills Defense (at CLE) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,500]
The Bills have struggled to stop the run much of the season, but there aren't many better "get right' matchups than a Browns team that managed less than 200 yards of offense and scored just three points last week in Chicago.
Andres Borregales, New England Patriots (at BAL)
Sunday night's matchup in Baltimore is one of Week 16's biggest games. It is also a potential smash spot for Borregales—the Ravens have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to kickers this season.
Players to Avoid in Week 16
Seattle Seahawks Defense (vs. LAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,700]
The Seahawks have played excellent defense this season, but the Rams have been a lousy fantasy matchup this season. Seattle's first meeting with L.A. this season resulted in its second-worst fantasy output of the campaign.
Tyler Loop, Baltimore Ravens (vs. NE)
Loop has been solid for fantasy managers this season and ranks seventh in fantasy points among kickers for the year. But the Patriots are a bad matchup for kickers—only one team has allowed fewer fantasy points to the position.
Week 16 Sleeper
New York Giants Defense (vs. MIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,600]
The Giants aren't an especially good defensive team, but they have the NFC sack leader in edge-rusher Brian Burns, and the Vikings have surrendered the fifth-most sacks and third-most fantasy points to defenses this year.
Overall Player Rankings
6 of 6.jpg)
These overall player rankings for Week 16 can be of assistance to fantasy managers in making flex lineup decisions, They do not, however, include quarterbacks—if your league has a superflex slot and you have a solid second signal-caller, he should go in that spot.
With that said, there aren't exactly many teams who have a solid second quarterback at this point in the season.
This week's advice might seem a little odd at first, but bear with me. At this point in the season, it's win or go home. So, if you think I have a player ranked too high/low, ignore me.
Start the guys you want to start. The only person who has to live with the consequences of your decisions this week is you. And if you let anyone talk you into benching a guy you were sure was going to blow up and he does, then you'll be kicking yourself well into the new year.
Don't kick yourself. It hurts.
