Shohei Ohtani HR Ball Could Sell for $4.4M+ at Auction After Historic World Series

The ball from Shohei Ohtani's third home run in his historic performance for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series could sell for a record price at auction.

Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions told TMZ Sports (starts at :49 mark) his company will be auctioning off the ball and could end up being sold for at least $4.4 million to become "the most valuable baseball of all-time."

The current record sale price for a baseball at auction is also an Ohtani souvenir. His 50th homer from the 2024 season, which made him the first player ever to go 50-50, sold for $4.4 million in October 2024.

Ohtani's performance in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers is arguably the greatest individual game by a player in MLB history. He went 3-for-3 with three homers and one walk in four plate appearances, plus struck out 10 in six shutout innings on the mound.

"What we have is the most sought-after item from that game," Goldin told TMZ. "We sold the 50 home run ball for $4.4 million. This might challenge it for the most valuable baseball of all-time!"

Per MLB.com's Sarah Langs, Ohtani became the first player ever to have at least five strikeouts as a pitcher in the same game he hit three homers.

The Dodgers' 5-1 win in that game sent them to the World Series for the second consecutive year. Ohtani was named NLCS MVP for the first time in his career.

Los Angeles went on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series to win back-to-back championships.

Goldin did not reveal the exact date when the auction will begin, but he told TMZ it will be available by the time season three of his Netflix series King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch premieres on Dec. 23.
