The 48-year-old officially ended his in-ring career in a loss to Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. Gunther forced Cena to submit with a sleeper hold, marking the first time that the 17-time World Champion tapped out in over 20 years.

Despite the ups and downs of his final year in WWE, Cena will be remembered for his staunch commitment to the company. He was the face of the business, and he made himself available for whatever was needed of him.
