Week 15 Waiver Wire Targets to Replace Fantasy Players on Injury List

Kristopher KnoxDec 13, 2025

The NFL playoffs are still roughly a month away, but the fantasy football postseason has arrived. Managers who have made it to win-or-go-home fantasy action, the real fun is just beginning.

On a positive note, fantasy managers no longer need to navigate bye weeks. Unfortunately, injuries will still leave some managers with far fewer options than they'd prefer.

Fortunately, the waiver wire remains a resource in the playoffs.

Here, you'll find the top remaining plays of the week, the latest from the Week 15 injury report, and the best waiver targets to consider for point-per-reception (PPR) play.

Quarterback

Commanders Football
Commanders QB Marcus Mariota

Top 10

1. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

3. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

5. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

6. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

7. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

8. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

9. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

10. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

Daniel Jones is out for the season, and the Washington Commanders have already ruled out Jayden Daniels (elbow).

Daniels' absence makes Marcus Mariota a viable sleeper play against the New York Giants. New York has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Mariota is still available in over 80 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

The New York Jets have announced that undrafted rookie Brady Cook will start this week with both Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor ailing. Cook can only be viewed as a low-end sleeper in deeper leagues, but he does have a reasonable matchup.

The Jaguars have surrendered the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Cook is available in virtually all ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Sheduer Sanders and Aaron Rodgers are other quarterbacks to consider off the waiver wire this week.

Running Back

Rams Cardinals Football
Rams RB Blake Corum

Top 10

1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

2. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

3. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

4. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

5. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

6. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

7. James Cook, Buffalo Bills

8. Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys

9. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

10. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts

Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

The list of notable running backs who have been ruled out this week includes Dylan Sampson and Alvin Kamara. Emari Demercado, Nick Chubb, Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Ty Chandler are among those listed as questionable.

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs played in Week 14 but is dealing with swelling in his knee. He may face the Denver Broncos this week, but Emanuel Wilson might see a large workload.

Wilson has seen limited action over the past two weeks but tallied 24.5 fantasy points in Week 12. He's still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum is available in over half of Yahoo and ESPN leagues, and he's seen pretty steady backfield work recently. Corum has topped 14 fantasy points in back-to-back weeks.

Of course, Wilson and Corum face tough matchups against the Broncos and Detroit Lions, respectively. Rodriguez, Devin Singletary and Bam Knight are other backs to consider off the waiver wire this week.

Wide Receiver

Giants Saints Football
Giants WR Darius Slayton

Top 10

1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks

2. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

3. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

4. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

5. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

6. Nico Collins, Houston Texans

7. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

8. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

9. Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs

10. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

Pat Bryant, Marvin Harrison Jr., Tee Higgins and Marquise Brown have all been ruled out this week. Josh Palmer, Deebo Samuel, Cedric Tillman, Rome Odunze, Rashod Bateman, Parker Washington, Quentin Johnston and Davante Adams are among those listed as questionable.

Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb has cleared the concussion protocol and will play on Sunday night.

Giants receiver Darius Slayton is a terrific sleeper option to consider this week, and he's still available in over half of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Slayton tallied 14.1 fantasy points in his last outing and is coming out of his bye with two weeks to prepare for the Commanders. Washington, meanwhile, has surrendered the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Houston Texans receiver Jayden Higgins doesn't have as favorable a matchup, as the Arizona Cardinals have surrendered the 17th-most fantasy points to opposing WRs. However, he should see a substantial role and is also available in over half of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Devaughn Vele, Luther Burden III, Kayshon Boutte and Adonai Mitchell are on the list of other receivers to consider off the wire this week.

4. Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns

5. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

6. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts

10. Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

David Njoku has been ruled out with a knee injury, while Mason Taylor has been ruled out with a neck injury. Jake Ferguson is listed as questionable.

Giants tight end Theo Johnson is a strong option to consider targeting off the waiver wire this week. He's reached double-digit fantasy points in three of his last five games and has a great matchup against Washington.

The Commanders have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Johnson is still available in over 50 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Texans tight end Dalton Schultz is another strong play who might be available. He's rostered in 55 percent of ESPN leagues and only 48 percent of Yahoo leagues.

AJ Barner, Dawson Knox and Mike Gesicki are other tight ends to consider off the wire this week.
