Prior to Wednesday's announcement, it was reported by BodySlam.net (h/t Matt Boone of WrestlingHeadlines.com) that two of the major storylines highlighted in Season 2 of WWE Unreal would be R-Truth's brief departure and return, and Seth Rollins' Money in the Bank cash-in on CM Punk at SummerSlam.
The first season of WWE Unreal released on Netflix in July, and it largely focused on the road to WrestleMania from January 2025 to WrestleMania 41.
Over the course of five episodes, the show gave a behind the scenes look at Raw's debut on Netflix, the 2025 Royal Rumble, the WWE women's division, John Cena's heel turn at Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41.
In addition to interviews with the talent involved, head of creative Triple H and his creative team were a huge part of the show, as fans were able to catch a glimpse of what goes on during WWE creative meetings.
It will likely be more of the same in Season 2 of WWE Unreal, seemingly with a focus on SummerSlam and other major events that took place during the aftermath of WrestleMania 41.
