During the lead up to his retirement match on the Dec. 13 Saturday Night's Main Event, John Cena shared a personal story this week about a memorable moment he once had with fellow WWE legend The Undertaker.

In a clip of an interview with Bill Simmons of The Ringer, Cena revealed that the first alcoholic beverage he ever consumed in his life was courtesy of The Undertaker.

Cena said he was 26 years old at the time, meaning the encounter occurred in either 2003 or 2004, which was shortly after his WWE main roster debut in 2002.

The Undertaker called Cena over and offered him a drink, but before he could tell The Deadman that he didn't drink, Cena noted that he decided to partake in order to have the opportunity to learn from one of the most iconic figures in pro wrestling history.

"You know what, I'm gonna go for it," Cena said. "Because I have this wise figure who is very stoic, doesn't say a lot, welcome me in. I understand why I don't do this, but I also understand why I want to do this. I'm okay, I'm going to give this a try. And I'm so glad I did."

Cena went on to say that The Undertaker gave him two pieces of advice that night which still stick with him, those being that he should always take care of his crew in terms of not letting them pay, and to never say goodbye.

While Cena may not say goodbye when slipping out of the bar late at night, he will indeed say goodbye to all of his fans in the near future.

At Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 13, Cena will wrestle the final match of his fabled career when he takes on the winner of the Last Time Is Now tournament.

Gunther and LA Knight each won three matches to reach the finals, and they will clash Friday night on SmackDown for the right to be part of Cena's retirement match.

It promises to be an emotional night at SNME when Cena steps through the ropes one final time as an active competitor, and it will mark the end of an era in WWE.
