What Did Breece Hall Tweet He's Thankful for on Thanksgiving After Jets Trade Rumors?

Mike ChiariNov 27, 2025

New York Jets running back Breece Hall was all about gratitude when he took to social media on Thanksgiving morning.

In a post on X, Hall listed everything he is thankful for, including the Jets and all the wins and losses he has experienced:

The Jets had a fire sale at the trade deadline earlier this month, sending cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys, but Hall stayed put.

Rumors suggest he was very much involved in trade talks, though, as ESPN's Nate Taylor reported that the Kansas City Chiefs offered the Jets a 2026 fourth-round draft pick in exchange for talented running back.

However, the Jets reportedly held firm in their asking price of a 2026 third-round pick, and the Chiefs balked.

The Jets have struggled through another tough season, as their 2-9 record is tied for the second-worst mark in the AFC, but Hall has been one of the few bright spots.

Hall is on pace for the first 1,000-yard rushing campaign of his career, as he has racked up 766 yards and two touchdowns on the ground through 11 games. He has also caught 28 passes for 301 yards and one score, putting him over 1,000 total yards from scrimmage already.

Over his four seasons in New York, Hall hasn't come close to reaching the playoffs, and with a sub-.500 record already guaranteed this season, it is almost certain the Jets will miss the postseason for a league-high 15th consecutive year.

Brighter days could be on the horizon, though, as Hall is set to become a free agent during the offseason, meaning he will be free to sign anywhere unless the Jets utilize the franchise tag to keep him.
