Projecting the Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at WWE Survivor Series 2025

Kevin BergeNov 27, 2025

WWE has always highlighted a Big Four of premium live events, starting with the Royal Rumble and ending with Survivor Series.

Even though Survivor Series is typically the final PLE on WWE's schedule each calendar year, it has struggled to keep the same status as Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam.

The biggest answer to that struggle has been defining this show by its use of WarGames. However, the annual double-cage match is not enough to truly sell Survivor Series as one of the biggest wrestling events of the year.

It is important for WWE to also deliver big moments that will define the rest of the year and start the road to WrestleMania early.

In order to do that, Saturday is the perfect time to deliver a memorable heel or face turn that has everyone talking for months to come.

The following are the most likely turns WWE can deliver at Survivor Series to make the show feel special.

Face: Logan Paul

While no one seems to be interested in seeing Logan Paul as a babyface again, WWE has begun to tease a major change for him.

The Maverick made his return to WWE on the November 3 edition of Raw, teasing that he could work with CM Punk rather than feud with him.

However, by the end of that same night, Paul showed his true colors by betraying The Best in the World.

In the following weeks, Paul Heyman has brought the social media star into his growing conflict with the top faces in WWE, but he has not fully made him a member of The Vision.

In fact, Paul has looked more like the fall guy for Heyman's group, proved again when he was tricked by his own teammates into taking a beat-down from the faces on Monday's Raw.

He could easily take the fall again inside the WarGames cage, which could cause Brock Lesnar to throw him around and require a babyface save.

Does WWE need Paul to be a face right now? No, but it could be an indication WWE is ready to seriously push him.

In a recent interview with SportsKeeda Wrestling, WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter said he sees Paul as a future top face, rivaling even Hulk Hogan.

Other legends of the business have praised the YouTuber's character work and in-ring performances, and he has a daredevil style that could turn the fans on his side.

It would not be a shock if WWE is ready to take the plunge, especially to set up Lesnar vs. Paul for WrestleMania 42.

Heel: CM Punk

What is going to happen inside WarGames this year? WWE must deliver a massive spectacle on the night, particularly to revitalize its top stories.

One of the biggest questions for the company to answer is: Who will replace Seth Rollins as the true leader of The Vision?

While Bron Breakker has made his case, WWE has not backed up his claim with strong individual booking. He and Bronson Reed still look more like a tag team than two rising individual stars.

If either Breakker or Reed is going to take the World Heavyweight Championship, someone would need to be The Vision's lead act, going after the title...unless he is already in that position.

Heyman and Punk have significant history that has felt somewhat untapped on screen. The former was only the latter's manager for a short time in WWE, and The Best in the World leaned face in spite of The Oracle.

This could be a chance to get them back on the same page and rocket The Vision to top story status again.

Punk hates Seth Rollins, who will return to WWE with a chip on his shoulder and the goal to take down Heyman and the faction.

The only real hold-up is whether Punk is interested in playing the heel again. He has not been a villain in wrestling for well over a decade.

All he would need to do in WarGames is to betray his own teammates, especially Roman Reigns, with whom he already has heat.

This would be a huge exclamation mark on a night potentially two years in the making since Punk's return to WWE at Survivor Series in 2023.

This spot could also go to Jey Uso given his darker leanings recently, but WWE fans would likely not respond to that move as strongly given his recent struggles.

Face: Dominik Mysterio

John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio is the biggest match of the latter's career so far, yet it does not feel like WWE considers it to be that big a deal.

This is despite Mysterio walking into his own hometown of San Diego at Petco Park to face The GOAT in his second-to-last match.

Cena dominated Dirty Dom in their first match together, going full Super Cena in his own hometown of Boston.

Nothing has been done yet to differentiate this contest from their first clash beyond Mysterio now being the challenger.

That could change at Survivor Series, though, as it could be the perfect stage for Mysterio to embrace growing crowd appreciation and break away from The Judgment Day.

Finn Bálor has teased turning on Dirty Dom for a while, and this would be the perfect stage. He can cost Mysterio a chance to get his title back and ruin his hometown return.

The fans will cheer Dirty Dom in this spot, and the move would make The Judgment Day better.

With all the recent teases of Rey Mysterio working with his son again, this is also the perfect time for them to awkwardly reunite, encouraged by Cena.

Heel: Alexa Bliss

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss aligned to win the Women's World Tag Team Championships with a natural animosity that indicated this pairing would not last.

While The Queen and The Goddess have done great work to sell their "not friends" dynamic, it would not be a shock for either woman to betray their partner.

This year's women's WarGames match feels underdeveloped, but a big change in direction could make this show special.

Flair is walking into the double cage at the insistence of Bliss and has tried to figure out her issues with Rhea Ripley to make this team work.

Adding a final surprise to this dynamic with Bliss betraying The Queen to seal the win for the heels would jump-start this angle to become one of the best in WWE.

It does not need to happen here as this alliance still has legs, but WWE could also use a major story without gold on the line in the women's division.
