Ja'Marr Chase Teases Bengals-Ravens Thanksgiving Game Return With 'Let's Eat' Photo
Joe Burrow isn't the only notable member of the Cincinnati Bengals offense who will be returning to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is as well, which he celebrated with a post on his Instagram Stories that included a picture that said: "Ja'Marr, you are cordially invited to the rarest table of them all. Let's eat."
While Burrow has been dealing with a toe injury and sidelined since Week 2, Chase simply missed one contest because of his own actions.
He spat on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey during their Week 11 matchup, which led to his suspension for the following game against the New England Patriots. Fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins also suffered a concussion against New England, and the offense struggled on the way to a 26-20 loss.
Chase apologized in an Instagram post ahead of his return.
"What I did was wrong. The circumstances don't matter," he wrote, in part. "My passion for the game is no excuse. There's zero place in our sport-or in life-for that level of disrespect.
"I want to personally apologize to everyone within the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. I let my emotions in the moment get the better of me. I can only hope and trust you know none of it represents who I am not as a competitor, teammate, or person.
"I also want to apologize to my coaches, teammates, and organization for not meeting my own standards as a leader of this team."
At 3-8, the Bengals are facing incredibly long odds to make a playoff run. They realistically have to win out and receive some help, but the return of both Burrow and Chase significantly improves their chances at establishing a long winning streak.
Chase will surely be motivated facing another division opponent after his suspension, and he is already looking forward to it if Wednesday's post was any indication.
