Penta Injured vs. Solo Sikoa During John Cena Retirement Tournament on WWE Raw

Andrew PetersNov 24, 2025

Penta's hopes of advancing in the Last Time is Now Tournament came to an end on Monday.

During Monday's episode of Raw, Penta appeared to hurt his shoulder during a match against Solo Sikoa. Penta came down hard and was clearly shaken up, which led to the match being called off.

Penta advanced to the quarterfinals of the Last Time is Now Tournament with a win over Finn Balor, and he was looking to punch his ticket into the semifinal with another win, but the injury means he won't get the chance to be John Cena's final opponent next month.

Instead, Solo Sikoa has now secured a spot in the semifinal since Penta was forced to forfeit the match. He'll get a meeting with Gunther, who beat Carmelo Hayes to advance.

On the other side of the bracket, Jey Uso will face Rusev in the quarterfinals. LA Knight was initially set to face Sheamus, but "The Celtic Warrior" was unfortunately removed from the tournament because of an injury. LA Knight will face a replacement wrestler with a trip to the semifinal on the line.

Cena's final match of his illustrious WWE career will take place on Dec. 13 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. He'll participate in Survivor Series: WarGames on Nov. 29 before closing out his career against a to-be-determined opponent.

Last week, Cena's final Raw appearance ended with him winning a six-man tag team match alongside Sheamus and Rey Mysterio.

There has been no shortage of action during Cena's retirement tour, and the tournament to decide his final opponent has only added to the drama. Unfortunately, Penta's run in the tournament didn't end the way he would have hoped.
