
Yankees GM Brian Cashman Jokes He's a Meme In 'Sleep Out' Charity Viral Video
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman already had the jokes prepared when he recently participated in a sleep out charity event.
As he was laying in a sleeping bag for the annual Covenant House Sleep Out, Cashman quipped that he's going to be a meme for being "asleep on the job."

Cashman, who has participated in the event 14 times now, opened up afterward about his experience and connection to the organization that helps raise money and provide shelter to unhoused youths.
MLB.com's Bryan Hoch noted that Cashman was among 350 business leaders, students and community advocates taking part in the event.
Covenant House organizers have said the annual sleep out has helped raise more than $170 million since it launched in 2011.
Cashman is in his 28th year as Yankees general manager after taking over for Bob Watson in February 1998. He has led the franchise to seven World Series appearances and four wins, including three straight from 1998 to 2000.
