What Is Jaxson Dart's Injury Timeline as Jameis Winston Starts for Giants vs. Lions?
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will miss Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions due to a concussion.
Interim head coach Mike Kafka told reporters on Friday that Dart has not yet cleared the concussion protocol, meaning Jameis Winston will get the starting nod against Detroit.
Dart previously missed New York's 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 with a concussion, but returned to practice as a non-contact participant on Wednesday.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kafka also told reporters after Wednesday's practice that Dart could clear concussion protocol as soon as Thursday, but since that hasn't happened, they will go with the veteran Winston once again.
The defeat at the hands of the Packers marked the first game that the rookie passer has missed this season. Dart was previously evaluated for a concussion during New York's 34-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 9, but ultimately didn't miss any time.
When healthy, the 22-year-old has shown why the Giants traded back into the first round of the 2025 NFL draft in order to select him with the No. 25 overall pick.
Dart has completed 62.7 percent of his throws for 1,417 yards and 10 touchdowns during his 2025 campaign, getting picked off just three times. He's also made plays with his legs, rushing for 317 yards and seven scores while averaging 5.6 yards per attempt.
Winston played well in his first start against Green Bay. He finished 19-of-29 for 201 yards with a rushing touchdown and an interception in the Giants' 27-20 loss.
New York enters Week 12 on a five-game losing streak that has dropped its record to 2-9 overall.
