Saints Finalizing Paris Game for NFL International Series, Could Be on 2026 Schedule

The New Orleans Saints could be making a trip overseas for a regular-season game next season.

According to NOLA.com's Jeff Duncan, team president Dennis Lauscha revealed that the Saints are targeting a game in Paris as early as the 2026 campaign. The NFL and stadium officials in Paris are reportedly "working" to finalize a deal and there likely will be an official announcement over the next several weeks.

The NFL has never played a game in Paris, but the league reportedly has been eyeing the city for its international series for quite some time.

"You might hear in the next couple weeks that we might be having a game internationally, and that game may be in Paris," Lauscha said at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, per Jeff Duncan of Nola.com. "We have the rights to the country of France and Monaco, so that makes so much sense, we think. We're really excited about that [possibility]."

Duncan noted that the game would be played at Stade de France, which was the primary venue of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Saints owner Gayle Benson said last week that the team is open to playing a game in France and even conducting a minicamp or training camp there as well.

"We're working on it," Benson said, per Duncan. "We've met with Prince Albert [of Monaco] and talked about trying to do something over there."

Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal reported last month that the NFL is hoping to add two more international games to the 2026 season schedule, which could bring the total to nine. It's already been confirmed that there will be a game in Australia next season and that the league will return to Mexico City for the first time since 2022.

The Saints are 2-8 this season and will return from their bye week on Sunday in an NFC South matchup against the Atlanta Falcons (3-7).
