MLB Open 2025 Golf Highlights, Leaderboard Scores from 1st-Ever Tournament Results

The Minnesota Twins finished in a disappointing fourth place in the American League Central this past season, but they at least earned some bragging rights in the offseason.

And they earned them on the golf course.

Aaron Hicks and Royce Lewis, who made up Team Twins during the MLB Open at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, won the inaugural golf event:

MLB announced the first-time event in October and explained all 30 teams would be represented by the collection of 60 current and former players. 

The list included a number of notable names such as Tarik Skubal, John Smoltz, David Wright, Justin Turner and Jimmy Rollins with newly crowned World Series champion Mookie Betts providing commentary on the course.

That helped the Braves finish in the top three and ahead of others in the top 10 such as the Blue Jays and the Yankees.

But the Blue Jays also had a moment under the spotlight:

The event lasted for three days and featured a pro-am that grouped MLB players with amateurs ahead of the two-day tournament of team gross best-ball scoring.

"A unique scoring system will turn every hole into a chance for players to climb the leaderboard," MLB's announcement explained. "Using a modified Stableford point-based scoring system, every individual plays their own ball, with the team using the best ball and earning points for their score on each hole. The team with the most points wins the tournament and the top three teams earn monetary donations to the charities of their choice."

Ultimately, it was the Twins that claimed the crown.
