NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Texas OT Trevor Goosby
Trevor Goosby is a young, inexperienced tackle with vines for arms and very good play strength who operates with a feel of a more experienced player. His high cut frame results in middling lateral quickness but he makes up for it with sound positional leverage, length and strength that signals an ascending player who will compete for a starting job sooner rather than later.
Goosby is a 6'7", 312-pound offensive tackle prospect, who entered the Texas program as a 4-star recruit in the 2023 class.
Goosby started two games in 2024 as a redshirt freshman, one at left tackle in the SEC Championship and one at right tackle in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal. Goosby will turn 21-years old in May 2026.

Where He Wins
1 of 4
— Very good play strength with a firm clench and efficient re-leveraging to churn, strain and drive his hips through the block.
— Vines for arms with heavy hands to establish first meaningful contact with jolt.
— Operates with a patience and feel beyond his experience level that keeps him on schedule and manifests in sound positional leverage.
— Incremental, linear improvement this season in his first year as a starter.
— Doesn't turn 21-years old until May 2026.
Areas of Improvement
2 of 4
— High cut frame saps lateral quickness and caps recovery skills in the 'average' range.
— Will take the cheese on hard jab steps, stutters and hesitations to get pulled out of positions and forced into scramble mode against counter moves.
— Base will widen on contact during the drive-phase of blocks, resulting in overextension when the picture changes.
