Bears' Rome Odunze Jokingly Thanks Dad for Targets After Social Media Posts
After his big day in Sunday's 24-20 win over the New York Giants, Chicago Bears receiver Rome Odunze had a funny way of expressing gratitude.
When asked about being targeted on the first play of the game en route to leading the Bears with six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in the victory, Odunze jokingly thanked his father, who sparked some controversy with his social media posts during the week.

James Odunze hasn't been shy about calling out his son's lack of targets, and he even retweeted a post that suggested he should be traded.
The second-year receiver downplayed his father's social media activity when asked about how it affects him.
"I don't make a big deal out of it," Odunze said on Thursday, per ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "Obviously he has his opinions and I have mine. And he feels like he needs to voice those things on social media. That's his prerogative. But he speaks for himself. I speak for myself."
Odunze leads the Bears with 69 targets following Sunday's game. It's clear that he will remain a focal point of the passing attack going forward.
Chicago (6-3) will be going for its third straight win when it faces the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday.
