Prince Harry Apologizes to Canada for Wearing Dodgers Hat at World Series Game 4

Prince Harry made some waves when he was spotted wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers hat during Game 4 of the 2025 World Series in L.A. last month, but he offered an apology to the people of Canada on Thursday.

The Dodgers went on to beat the Toronto Blue Jays in a dramatic Game 7, giving them back-to-back World Series titles.

Harry, who was in Canada this week for Remembrance Week, told CTV (h/t Elmira Aliieva of NBC News) that he was actually pulling for the Blue Jays in the series, saying, "Game 5, Game 6, Game 7, I was Blue Jays throughout. Now that I've admitted that, it's going to be pretty hard for me to return back to Los Angeles."

The former British royal also explained why he was wearing a Dodgers cap during Game 4, saying, "Firstly, I would like to apologize to Canada for wearing it. Secondly, I was under duress. There wasn't much choice."

Harry noted that he was invited to Game 4 by the Dodgers and felt wearing the interlocking "LA" hat was "the polite thing to do."

Canada was a British colony throughout the 1700s and 1800s. Canada became self-governed in 1867 and fully broke away from Britain in 1982 with the Constitution Act.

Still, Canada and Great Britain have close ties, and Harry even lived there for a time with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Now, Harry and Megan reside in Montecito, California, with their two children. That is only about a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles.

While Harry made his true feelings known this week, Canada is still dealing with the heartbreak of a Game 7 loss, while the Dodgers are gearing up for the first three-peat since the New York Yankees won three World Series in a row from 1998 to 2000.
