Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings Position-by-Position Rundown
The Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos kicked off Week 10 with an AFC West grudge match. The Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts will pick up the action at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday morning from Germany.
Several factors may lead managers to less-than-ideal lineup options in Week 10, including injuries, bad matchups and bye weeks. However, some enticing plays and intriguing waiver-wire targets are out there.
Let's take a look at some updated point-per-reception (PPR) rankings and an in-depth overview of the key fantasy positions.
Quarterback
1 of 5.jpg)
1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
3. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
4. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
5. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
6. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
7. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
8. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
9. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
10. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
12. J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson managers should feel comfortable this week as the two dual-threats face off against the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, respectively. Neither Miami nor Minnesota boasts a top-tier run defense, so rushing yards should be available.
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert might not do a ton of scrambling against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he still has arguably the top matchup of Week 10. Injuries along L.A.'s offensive line remain a concern, but Pittsburgh has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff also has a fantastic matchup against the Washington Commanders, who have surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs. With Jayden Daniels out for Washington, though, there's at least a minor risk of Detroit grinding out the game on the ground.
That isn't the Lion's M.O., but it's something to consider.
Managers needing a deep sleeper might want to consider Houston Texans backup Davis Mills, who will be starting in place of C.J. Stroud (concussion). Jacksonville has surrendered the third-most fantasy points to QBs this season.
Running Back
2 of 5.jpg)
1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
2. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
3. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
4. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
5. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins
6. James Cook, Buffalo Bills
7. Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers
8. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
9. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
10. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
11. Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
12. Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns
13. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
14. Breece Hall, New York Jets
15. Kyle Monangai, Chicago Bears
Managers should be able to trust Christian McCaffrey this week, even against a Los Angeles Rams defense that has surrendered fewer fantasy points to RBs than any other team.
McCaffrey is simply too integral to the San Francisco 49ers' offense to be a flat-out bust. The last time he faced L.A., McCaffrey had eight catches, 139 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. He may not hit those numbers again, but McCaffrey has a very high PPR floor.
The Chicago Bears and their running backs have a much better matchup against the New York Giants, who have surrendered the second-most fantasy points to RBs. While D'Andre Swift (groin) appears on track to return this week, rookie Kyle Monangai should see plenty of work as well.
Monangai rushed for 176 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, so it'll be hard for Chicago to justify just leaving him on the bench now.
The list of running backs available on the waiver wire this week is honestly quite unappealing. However, Giants back Devin Singletary is at least worth some consideration. He logged more carries than Tyrone Tracy Jr. last week and is available in over 60 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Wide Receiver
3 of 5.jpg)
1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
3. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
4. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
5. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
6. Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
7. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
8. Nico Collins, Houston Texans
9. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers
10. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
11. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
12. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
13. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
14. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
15. DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
16. Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants
17. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals
18. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
19. Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots
20. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
21. DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
22. Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders
23. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets
24. Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
25. Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
Top receivers like Ja'Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb and Rashee Rice are on bye this week. However, PPR stars Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua are on track to play and to reward managers with a bevvy of points.
There's a non-zero chance that Amon-Ra St. Brown tops everybody.
As previously mentioned, the Lions will face a Commanders team that has Marcus Mariota at quarterback. That could mean the sort of lopsided contest that most teams would look to close out early and on the ground. Detroit, however, could let Goff and Co. cook in a "get-right" game following last week's loss.
After the Lions lost to the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, they rolled over Chicago 52-21 in Week 2. St. Brown caught nine passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns in that game.
Managers looking to the waiver wire for help can consider Colts pass-catcher Alec Pierce. While the Falcons have a respectable pass defense, Pierce has started to become a go-to target in Indy's offense. He's caught 13 passes for 282 yards over the past three games. He's also available in roughly 60 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Tight End
4 of 5.jpg)
1. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
2. Oronde Gadsden II, Los Angeles Chargers
3. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
4. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
5. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
6. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
7. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
8. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
9. Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
10. Theo Johnson, New York Giants
11. Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns
12. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
13. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
14. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders
15. Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Arizona Cardinals are sticking with quarterback Jacoby Brissett this week, which is wonderful news for Trey McBride managers. In Brissett's three starts, McBride has averaged 7.6 receptions, 67 yards and 1.3 touchdowns. He's also caught at least one touchdown pass in every game with Brissett.
McBride had just one touchdown reception in the five games that Kyler Murray started this season. He should have another strong game, even against the rival Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle's defense is stout, but it has surrendered the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.
The Steelers have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. This is why Chargers rookie Oronde Gadsden II has a real shot at being this week's top scorerâit also helps that he's become one of Justin Herbert's favorite targets.
Managers should see if Bears tight end Colston Loveland is available following his six-catch, 118-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 9. He's still available in over 50 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

7. Eddy Pineiro, San Francisco 49ers
8. Tyler Loop, Baltimore Ravens
