Rams' Matthew Stafford 'One of the Most Underrated QBs Ever,' NFL Exec Says
There's belief within the NFL that Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford deserves more recognition for his 17-year career in the league.
"He's one of the most underrated QBs ever," an NFL executive told Jeff Howe of The Athletic. "He's always been excellent."
Stafford hasn't shown many signs of slowing down in 2025, as the 37-year-old has completed 67.2 percent of his throws for 2,147 yards and a league-leading 21 touchdowns through eight games. He's also been picked off twice.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Los Angeles has opened the 2025 season with a 6-2 record, owning the NFL's No. 1 passing attack.
Stafford has displayed his arm talent throughout his career with the Rams and Detroit Lions, as his 61,956 pass yards and 398 touchdowns through the air are both the ninth-most in NFL history. His 5,358 completions also rank No. 8 on the league's all-time leaderboard.
Despite Stafford's impressive production, he's only received two Pro Bowl selections since entering the NFL in 2009.
He dealt with his fair share of playoff struggles early in his career, but put together a stellar postseason during his 2021 campaign to help lead Los Angeles to a Super Bowl LVI victory.
Stafford completed 70.0 percent of his throws for 1,188 yards and nine touchdowns in four appearances throughout the playoff run that culminated in a championship, getting picked off just three times.
Now, he's on the verge of leading the Rams to their third consecutive postseason appearance.
