Updated 2026 NFL Draft Order After 2025 Trade Deadline, Jets' Sauce Gardner Deal

Andrew PetersNov 4, 2025

The NFL trade deadline has passed, and contenders have bolstered their rosters while sellers sent away their players in return for draft capital.

There were a handful of notable trades in the final hours before the deadline, with the New York Jets playing a part in two of the most notable deals. The Jets sent star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and traded Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.

With the trade deadline now passed, here's a look at the updated 2026 NFL Draft order.

The Titans are having another forgettable season despite rookie quarterback Cam Ward showing some promise under center. While Tennessee is bound to miss the playoffs once again, it could pay off if the Titans earn the top pick.

If the Titans hold onto their position as the NFL's worst team, they could use it to get a elite defensive player or some protection for Ward on the offensive line. There are also a handful of teams that will try to trade up, so Tennessee could listen to some offers.

The Saints pivoted to rookie quarterback Tyler Shough this week, but it didn't change much and New Orleans is still well on its way to landing a top pick. The Saints are still desperate for a franchise quarterback—unless Shough pans out—so it wouldn't be surprising if that's how they used their first-round pick this year.

Speaking of teams looking for their franchise quarterback, the Jets could be a candidate to select a signal caller this year, but they also might try to find some replacements on defense after dealing Gardner and Williams.

Luckily for New York, it landed the Colts' first-round pick in the Gardner trade, giving the Jets a bit more flexibility.

The Dolphins, Giants, Browns and Raiders are far from playoff contenders this point and will presumably commit to trying to improve their draft standing the rest of the way.
