Marvin Harrison Sr. Rips Son's Cardinals' Offense, 'It's Very Hard For Me to Watch'

Joseph ZuckerNov 3, 2025

Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. doesn't like what he's seeing from the Arizona Cardinals offense right now.

"It's very hard for me to watch the Cardinals' offense," he told ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. "And you can quote me on that."

The former Indianapolis Colts star elaborated on his opinion.

"The style of offense that I am accustomed to, that I'm used to watching as a professional eye, as a wide receiver โ€ฆ I just can't relate to watching that [current] offense, that style of offense," he said. "Basically, I can't relate to what goes on there.

"I think that's just peacefully put, without pointing fingers or anything. It's just me. I'm giving you the professional eye. I can't relate to it. It don't add up to me. I can't deal with it."

The Cardinals have a bottom-half offense in both yards (310.3) and points (21.9) per game. They're also riding a five-game losing streak into Monday night's matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is on his way to a second year of underwhelming on-field returns. He has 24 catches for 396 yards and two touchdowns through seven games, which isn't bad production but below what a lot of people expected for a can't-miss prospect who was a top-five pick.

Weinfuss wrote that Marvin Sr. "didn't want to comment on how the Cardinals are using his son."

The legendary pass-catcher nonetheless made his thoughts pretty clear. He told Weinfuss the Hall of Fame would be asking him to send his gold jacket back if he had played in this version of the Cardinals offense.

There probably isn't anybody within Arizona's organization who's fully happy with the offense or believes the younger Harrison is being utilized to full effect. The candor of Marvin Sr. may not be received that well, though.
