Predictions for Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 41 Match Card

Chris MuellerOct 31, 2025

Friday may be Halloween, but Saturday is pro wrestling night because it's time for another edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

While this is not a PLE, it is a special event compared to the normal weekly programming, so WWE has loaded up the card with some big stars to make sure the show is worth watching.

CM Punk and Jey Uso will do battle for the vacant men's world title after Seth Rollins was forced to relinquish the belt due to an injury.

We will also see the men's WWE Championship on the line when Cody Rhodes defends against Drew McIntyre.

Tiffany Stratton will bring the Women's World Championship to the show when she puts it on the line against Jade Cargill, and Dominik Mysterio has one of his biggest challenges to date when he puts the men's intercontinental title on the line against both Penta and Rusev.

Let's take a look at each match and offer some predictions.

Jey Uso vs. CM Punk

Monday Night RAW

The most unpredictable match on the card will see two former world champions fight over the vacant title when Uso and Punk lock horns.

Since neither man is the current titleholder, we are guaranteed to see a new champion crowned on Saturday unless WWE throws a wrench into the gears and decides to do something crazy like have a No Contest finish.

The fact that both men are babyfaces also makes this a little more interesting than the usual heel vs. face dynamic.

Both men are incredibly popular with the WWE audience, but WWE has WrestleMania 42 coming up in roughly six months, so whoever wins the belt will likely hold it until that event.

With the show being in Las Vegas, WWE is hoping for a huge turnout, so it wants its biggest stars in a high-profile position. For that reason alone, Punk is our predicted winner. He is the bigger name even if Uso is the better option right now.

Prediction: CM Punk wins

Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre

SmackDown

The Scottish Psychopath has been a thorn in the side of The American Nightmare for a while now, and it will all come to a head this weekend when they fight over the WWE Championship.

Before we get to the prediction, we need to point out that in a lot of ways, McIntyre is the better option to win here.

Rhodes is one of WWE's most prominent stars, but his title run has grown a little stale. He is the ultimate babyface, but it's more fun to see someone in that role pursuing the title, not dominating the main event scene.

McIntyre is over with the crowd and would be a fantastic champion to carry the belt into WrestleMania season, but just like with Uso and Punk, Rhodes' brand recognition makes him a more likely choice to win on Saturday.

WWE will likely have some kind of shenanigans so McIntyre doesn't have to lose clean, possibly with Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns involved in some way, so the Scot won't suffer too much from the loss.

Prediction: Rhodes wins

Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill

3 of 4
SmackDown

Tiffany Stratton has had a nice long reign as a champion, but this feels like the perfect time for WWE to finally commit to a singles push for Cargill.

Her recent heel turn has breathed new life into her characters and allowed her to tap into her more aggressive side, which is going to make this match a lot more entertaining than if both women were babyfaces.

Stratton will put up a tough fight, but in the end, Cargill is going to win the title for the first time and begin a run of dominance as a heel.

Once Bianca Belair is ready to return, she and Cargill have a built in feud they can pick right back up without any hesitation.

Prediction: Cargill wins the title

Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta vs. Rusev

4 of 4
Monday Night RAW

Dominik Mysterio has become one of the top heels in the midcard scene in WWE and is the first active Superstar to hold the AAA Mega Championship and a singles title in WWE at the same time.

Unfortunately for him, he has two veterans who want one of his titles. Rusev and Penta have both come up short against Dom thanks to his dirty tactics and help from Judgment Day, but that all changes this weekend.

A triple threat match has no DQs or countouts, so Dom might be able to openly cheat instead of having to hide it, but it also means his opponents don't have to hold back either.

As great as Penta is, this feels like the right time to put a belt on Rusev. He is one of the highest profile names to jump to AEW and then back to WWE, so the company is going to want to show wrestlers that it is willing to push former AEW stars as a way to entice them into leaving the competition.

Punk and Rhodes have both been featured heavily since returning, Cargill is likely about to win a top title, Blake Monroe just won gold in NXT, Ethan Page has been a top star and fixture in NXT, and Ricky Saints just won the NXT Championship. Rusev holding gold would help continue to show that former AEW stars won't be buried in WWE.

Prediction: Rusev wins the IC title
