McKinnley Jackson Reportedly Requests Trade, 3rd on Bengals to Ask Out Before Deadline
Another member of the Cincinnati Bengals' defense reportedly requested a trade.
Per ESPN's Ben Baby, defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson requested a trade or release from the team. He's the third member of the defense to request a trade ahead of next week's NFL deadline.
Jackson, a third-round pick in 2024, has seen very little action this year. He played six snaps against the Detroit Lions in Week 5 but has otherwise been a healthy scratch for six of the Bengals' first eight games this season. Last season, Jackson appeared in all 13 games that he was healthy, logging 15 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackson's trade request follows that of linebacker Logan Wilson, who Baby reported requested a trade last week. Wilson, a third-round pick in 2020, has 46 tackles and four passes defended this year.
He has started all eight games, but has seen his snap total decrease with rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr. getting more reps.
Along with Jackson and Wilson, Mike Pennel reached a noninjury settlement with the Bengals this week and was released, according to Baby. The defensive tackle was then picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs, who previously released him in August.
Cincinnati's defensive staff changed quite a bit after Al Golden replaced former defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, and clearly, several members of the defense haven't been happy with the changes.
Whether the Bengals will be able to find trades for Jackson and Wilson remains to be seen.
For now, Cincinnati will look to turn its season around following a 3-5 start. The Bengals will face the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
