NFL Insider Says Eagles Are 'Super Hot' for Myles Garrett, Would Trade 'Like 3' 1sts

Zach BacharOct 30, 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles are interested in a potential blockbuster trade involving Cleveland Browns star pass-rusher Myles Garrett, according to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson.

"Rumor going around … and I have not heard it out of the Eagles, but I've heard it from a couple of other super high-ranking people in other teams that are clearly on the phones," Robinson reported during a radio appearance on ESPN Nashville's 102.5 The Game (h/t Bleeding Green Nation's Brandon Lee Gowton). "That Howie Roseman and the Eagles are super hot after Myles Garrett. That Howie would give up, like, three first-round picks for him."

It may be difficult for the Eagles to convince the Browns to part ways with Garrett despite a hefty trade offer, as Cleveland reportedly has no desire to move the six-time Pro Bowler in a swap.

Garrett has remained one of the NFL's top defensive players, as his 10 sacks and 15 tackles for loss both lead the league this season. He's also racked up 31 tackles and 15 quarterback hits.

The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has amassed 34 pressures as well, according to Pro Football Focus.

Despite his exceptional year, the Browns only sit at 2-6 after wrapping up a 3-14 finish last season. Garrett expressed his frustrations on the sideline during Cleveland's 32-13 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, a game in which he recorded five sacks.

While a trade doesn't seem to be a likely outcome, it isn't unheard of for a team to part ways with an elite pass-rusher. Just before the start of the regular season, the Dallas Cowboys surprisingly traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.

Still, it's worth noting that Parsons was in the midst of a contract dispute with the Cowboys prior to the swap and Garrett just received a four-year extension worth $40 million per year from the Browns in March.

Even if the Eagles can't acquire Garrett, general manager Howie Roseman could still make a move to improve their defensive line as they rank No. 20 in the NFL with 16 sacks this season.

The 2025 NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
