What Is Lamar Jackson's Injury Status? Harbaugh Reacts to Ravens QB Missing Practice
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has managed to play back-to-back games after missing time with a hamstring injury, but the two-time MVP may be dealing with a new ailment.
Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, Jackson missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was optimistic about the injury, however, saying he expects him to return on Thursday.
"He should be OK," Harbaugh said.
The injury news comes ahead of Baltimore's Week 11 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens are sitting at 4-5 the season after last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings. Jackson has thrown for 1,249 yards, 15 touchdowns and an interception in six games, adding 216 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Jackson was hoping to put together another MVP-worthy campaign in 2025, but injuries have gotten in the way.
The star quarterback suffered a hamstring injury in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and went on to miss three games, a stretch in which the Ravens went 1-2. He was ultimately able to return to action for Baltimore's Week 9 contest against the Miami Dolphins.
Now Jackson is dealing with another injury, but it seems this one won't force him to miss much time, if any.
Should Jackson miss this week's game, the Ravens will likely turn to Tyler Huntley in relief. The sixth-year player split reps with Cooper Rush when Jackson was out earlier this year, but ended up getting the start against the Chicago Bears. He led Baltimore to a win in that contest behind 186 passing yards and a touchdown.
