Lamar Jackson to Start for Ravens vs. Dolphins After Hamstring Injury Recovery

Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has been removed from the injury report and will start Thursday's game against the Miami Dolphins after recovering from a hamstring injury, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Jackson has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury suffered in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared to be trending toward a return in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears before being ruled out, and ESPN reported that he was expected to play against the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.

Before going down with the injury, Jackson was off to a strong start with 869 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and an interception while also adding 166 rushing yards and another score. However, the Ravens have struggled mightily this season on both sides of the ball, and they improved to 2-5 with a 30-16 win against the Bears.

Veteran backup Tyler Huntley got the start against Chicago and threw for 186 yards and one touchdown. Cooper Rush had started the previous two games in Jackson's absence, but the Ravens offense produced a combined 13 points with him as the starter.

The Ravens entered the 2025 season with Super Bowl aspirations, but their early struggles and Jackson's injury have hurt their chances of even contending for a playoff spot. Baltimore is hoping that the return of the two-time NFL MVP will help things get back on track before time runs out.
