NFL Exec Says Giants Don't 'Have a Good Process' With HC Hires amid Daboll Hot Seat
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has been on the hot seat throughout the 2025 season, but it appears there is little confidence that replacing him would yield better results.
An executive from another team suggested to The Athletic's Mike Sando that the Giants should not act too hastily in firing Daboll and embarking on another head coaching search, especially considering their previous track record.
"They have shown they do not have a good process hiring head coaches anyway," the exec said, pointing to the hirings and quick firings of Ben McAdoo, Pat Shurmur and Joe Judge.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After a 12-year tenure by former head coach Tom Coughlin that produced two Super Bowl victories, the Giants have struggled to find the right person to lead the ship. McAdoo, Shurmur and Judge all lasted two seasons or less before getting fired.
Daboll is in his fourth season at the helm and appears to be barreling toward his third straight losing campaign, as New York fell to 2-6 with Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In fairness to Daboll, the Giants have had a bit of bad luck this season. Star receiver Malik Nabers is out for the year with a torn ACL and promising rookie running back Cam Skattebo appears set to join him after suffering a dislocated ankle in Sunday's loss and undergoing surgery in Philadelphia. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has shown signs that he can be a franchise quarterback, so it could hurt his development if he loses his head coach.
Still, Daboll will need to prove that he's the right person to continue leading the Giants amid their ongoing rebuild. The team will look for to put forth a better effort when it faces the San Francisco 49ers (5-3) in Week 9.
