Jordan Love Hyped by Aaron Rodgers, Micah Parsons, Tucker Kraft After Packers' Win

Doric SamOct 27, 2025

After his stellar performance in Sunday night's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love received praise from all angles, including from his predecessor.

Love threw for 360 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to spearhead a 35-25 win and out-duel Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was facing the Packers for the first time in his career after being traded two ways ago. Rodgers had kind words for his former mentee after the game.

"He played great, played fantastic," Rodgers said, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "He's had a really nice season. He's been really efficient with the football. He's opportunistic, though I felt like he was very patient tonight. He took the run solutions, he took the checkdowns, moved in the pocket well. Thought he played really well."

After the Packers fell behind 16-7 in the first half, Love locked in and started to heat up. He completed 20 straight passes at one point, nearly doubling his previous career-high for consecutive completions (11).

"He's showed he's the successor," Packers defensive end Micah Parsons said. "He's the up-and-coming. Like J-Love, talking about when I was coming here, I was like, 'I know they've got a quarterback, I know I've got a quarterback.' I'm just so proud of him, everything he's been through, how he's developed as a player, how he's developed as a person, and he's just playing some really good football right now."

Green Bay tight end Tucker Kraft, who led the team with seven catches for 143 yards and caught two of Love's three touchdown passes, said the signal-caller is living up to expectations in the lineage of franchise quarterbacks left by Rodgers and his predecessor, Brett Favre.

"The legacy that [Rodgers] left, I would say Jordan's filling those shoes," Kraft said. "When you're talking about the Favre to Rodgers to Love, Jordan has stepped up and fulfilled his end of the bargain."

After a win over Rodgers under the bright lights of primetime, Love's teammates feel that it's time for him to be recognized as one of the best players in the league.

"He's him," Packers defensive end Rashan Gary said. "He's him. Everybody in the league, if y'all not woke, please wake up. Get the crust out your eyes because he is him, and 10 is coming. Period."

Love and the Packers (5-1-1) will be going for their fourth straight win when they return home to host the Carolina Panthers (4-4) in Week 9.
