Josh Allen Makes History, Breaks Cam Newton's NFL Record in Bills' Game vs. Panthers
Josh Allen reached a historic milestone on Sunday.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback recorded his 46th game with at least one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown against the Carolina Panthers, breaking a tie with former star signal-caller Cam Newton for the most in NFL history.

Allen found the end zone on a quarterback sneak in the second quarter before connecting with Khalil Shakir for a 54-yard touchdown at the start of the third.
It was a resurgent performance from Allen, who struggled during the Bills' two-game losing streak heading into the matchup with Carolina. He completed 64.9 percent of his throws for 433 yards and four touchdowns compared to three interceptions over that span.
The reigning MVP has still looked sharp to open his 2025 campaign as a whole, throwing for 1,397 yards and 11 touchdowns while getting picked off just four times prior to Sunday's action. He also boasted a 68.5 completion percentage, averaging 7.8 yards per attempt.
The speed at which Allen reached his latest accomplishment is particularly impressive, as the clash with Carolina marked the 118th game of his career. Meanwhile, Newton recorded his 45th contest with one touchdown through the air and one on the ground in his 145th career game.
Allen has made plays with his legs throughout his tenure in Buffalo, although he's found the end zone much more often as of late. He amassed 27 rushing touchdowns from 2023-24 after recording 21 rushing scores in the prior three years combined.
Allen's two-way impact has helped the Bills establish themselves as an AFC contender, and they're currently searching for their seventh consecutive playoff berth.
