Browns' Myles Garrett Makes NFL History After Breaking This Reggie White Sack Record
Myles Garrett is just 29 years old, but he's already establishing himself as an all-time great.
The Cleveland Browns pass-rusher sacked Drake Maye during Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, which gave him 108.5 for his career. It also meant he passed Reggie White for the most sacks before turning 30 years old in NFL history:

He continued to dominate the Patriots during the game, totaling five sacks to set a new Browns record:
Garrett's resume already includes the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, four First-Team All-Pro selections, six Pro Bowl nods and seven seasons with double-digit sack totals. If he continues playing at that pace, he could find himself near the top of the NFL's all-time sack list.
White is a notable benchmark, as he is second in history with 198 sacks. Only Bruce Smith notched more with 200 in his career.
White continued to play well beyond his age-30 season, which is how the Hall of Famer was able to parlay the quick start to his career into legendary status. He tallied 15 sacks in his age-30 season in 1991, 14 sacks in 1992, 13 sacks in 1993, 12 sacks in 1995, 11 sacks in 1997 and 16 sacks in 1998.
Much of that late production came with the Green Bay Packers after he played his first eight years with the Philadelphia Eagles.
As for Garrett, it remains to be seen if he will have a second act like White did on a different team. He has been with the Browns his entire career and is signed through the 2030 campaign, so he may have to continue putting up numbers in a Cleveland uniform for the rest of his career.
That hasn't been a problem to this point.
