Vlad Jr., Blue Jays Bullpen Disappoint MLB Fans in World Series G2 Loss vs. Dodgers
The Toronto Blue Jays couldn't continue building momentum in Game 2 of the 2025 World Series, falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers by the final score of 5-1 on Saturday night.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. finished 1-for-4 for the Blue Jays, as their lineup was only able to muster four hits during a complete game from Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Toronto's bullpen also struggled, as two of Los Angeles' insurance runs came in the eighth inning.
Fans weren't impressed with the loss that resulted in a 1-1 series tie.
The Dodgers struck first on Saturday, as Will Smith's RBI single put the Blue Jays in an immediate 1-0 deficit during the top of the first inning.
Both teams couldn't get on the board in the next frame, but Toronto eventually responded with a game-tying sacrifice fly from Alejandro Kirk in the bottom of the third.
The game quickly became a pitching duel between Yamamoto and Kevin Gausman, with the score remaining tied 1-1 through six innings.
Gausman finally ran into some trouble in the seventh, as solo home runs from Smith and Max Muncy put Los Angeles up 3-1.
The Dodgers went on to load the bases with one out in the eighth inning, scoring on a wild pitch before a bases-loaded fielder's choice was able to give them a 5-1 edge that they wouldn't relinquish.
The Blue Jays' offense was stifled by Yamamoto, a surprising result considering they amassed 11 runs on 14 hits during their lopsided Game 1 win on Friday.
Toronto will now look to bounce back as the series shifts to Los Angeles, with Game 3 on Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
