The race for the team award stands out given the Toronto Blue Jays' run to the World Series.

They defeated the AL East rival New York Yankees in the Divisional Round and then outlasted their other fellow finalist in the Seattle Mariners in a thrilling seven-game American League Championship Series. One look at the list of Silver Slugger finalists shows fans got to see many of the best players in the AL during that playoff run.

Guerrero, George Springer and Bo Bichette are finalists for the Blue Jays, while Judge, Cody Bellinger, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Ben Rice made the cut for the Yankees. As for Seattle, Jorge Polanco, Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh are all finalists.

Bichette didn't even play in the wins over the Yankees and Mariners, underscoring just how deep and dangerous Toronto's lineup is heading into the Fall Classic against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the Blue Jays still have a chance at a championship, Judge and Raleigh can at least take solace knowing they are surely going to take home Silver Slugger Awards. After all, they are the two realistic contenders for the AL MVP award and stand out within their respective positions.

Raleigh led the league with 60 home runs and 125 RBI, and he did it all while playing the physically grueling position of catcher on the defensive side. He took home the Gold Glove at catcher last season and appeared in 159 of the 162 regular-season games for the Mariners in 2025.

As for Judge, he is looking to win his third MVP in four years after leading the league in WAR (9.7), runs scored (137), walks (124), batting average (.331), on-base percentage (.457), slugging percentage (.688) and OPS (1.144). He also launched 53 home runs and drove in 114 runs.

He will surely be taking home the fifth Silver Slugger Award of his legendary career as a result even if the MVP is still up for grabs.
