Jays Invite Kraken's Canadian Star Shane Wright to Game After Wearing Mariners Jersey
Even though Seattle Kraken star Shane Wright's allegiances were divided between the two teams in the American League Championship Series, there was no ill will from the Toronto Blue Jays to him wearing a Seattle Mariners jersey.
After the Blue Jays defeated the Mariners in Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday, they extended an invitation to Wright to throw out the first pitch at a game next season.

The invitation was quoted on a post from the Kraken showing Wright and other players wearing Mariners jerseys in Toronto walking into the ScotiaBank Arena prior to their Oct. 18 game against the Maple Leafs.
Wright, who is from Burlington, Ontario, said after his team's 4-3 overtime win against the Maple Leafs he was "pretty torn" over the ALCS, but the outcome would be a "win-win" for him regardless.
The Blue Jays got revenge for the Maple Leafs with their own 4-3 win over the Mariners in Game 7 on Monday night. George Springer played the role of hero with a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give Toronto its first lead of the game.
This marks Toronto's first appearance in the World Series since 1993. It's the first championship series of any kind for a sports team in the city since the Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA Finals.
Wright will be available to attend Game 1 at Rogers Centre on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers if he wants to. The Kraken have a scheduled off day before hosting the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
