WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins appears to be set to miss a large chunk of time after his latest setback.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer (h/t WrestlePurists), Rollins will undergo surgery on a shoulder injury suffered in his win over Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel premium live event in Perth, Australia, last week.

"He's having surgery, that's 100 percent," Meltzer stated. "And when they open up, they'll find out, they don't know all the damage in his shoulder, and they will find out the damage when they open him up, and when they do the surgery, they'll have an idea."

Rollins suffered the injury on a dive across the ring when he landed directly on his shoulder. He admitted on the post-show that he potentially did long-term damage to his left arm.

Rollins' impending absence is a major blow to WWE, but the company is reportedly hoping he'll be able to return in time for WrestleMania 42 in April.

"I guess the best way to put it is they hope he'll be okay for WrestleMania," Meltzer stated. "There's no way of knowing one way or the other today whether he will be or not. But he's out for months for sure."

Rhea Ripley's Injury Reportedly Worse Than Expected

Fans on social media were buzzing after footage surfaced of Rhea Ripley being bloodied in a mid-air collision at WWE's SuperShow in Tokyo, Japan, this weekend.

While Ripley downplayed the injury in a tweet after the event, it sounds like it was more severe than she initially indicated.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported in a tweet to subscribers (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), "Rhea broke her nose on the house show loop."

Ripley was injured when Raquel Rodriguez launched IYO SKY into her during a tag team match. She posted a video of the aftermath with a thank-you message to fans in Tokyo.

Ripley managed to return to the ring in a closing segment where multiple superstars celebrated AJ Styles after his likely final match in Japan.

WWE will surely be hoping that Ripley won't be sidelined for too long, as she is one of the cornerstones of the women's division as well as one of the most popular Superstars in the entire company.

Jacob Fatu Reportedly Likely to Miss Survivor Series

Former WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu appeared poised to be in a high-profile match at next month's Survivor Series premium live event, but he's reportedly set to be sidelined for a while.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer (h/t WrestlePurists), Fatu is undergoing a dental procedure that will force him to miss Survivor Series on Nov. 29, though he's expected to return before the end of the year.

"Jacob (Fatu) is having dental work done, so he's gonna be out for a while. It's not gonna be a long time," Meltzer stated. "My impression was before the end of the year, but probably missing WarGames, so that's another person out of WarGames."

Fatu was set to challenge Drew McIntyre in a No. 1 contender's match on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown for the chance to face Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, but he was attacked backstage and left bleeding from his mouth, writing him off of television for the time being.

Fatu was one of the fastest-rising Superstars in the company, but this setback could delay his ascent. Thankfully, it doesn't sound like he'll be gone for too long.
