Liam Coen Takes Blame for Lawrence, Jaguars' Blowout Loss to Rams, 'It Starts with Me'
The Jacksonville Jaguars have had some surprising success this season, but that wasn't the case on Sunday.
The Jaguars fell to the Los Angeles Rams in blowout fashion, 35-7, in London. First-year head coach Liam Coen took the blame for the loss.
"It's definitely frustrating, but just like everybody else in there, you've got to look inward first," Coen told reporters. "Like, what am I doing as the head football coach that's not clear right now? How am I communicating these things? How am I and how are we practicing these things?

"That's what I've got to look at, right?"
The Jaguars were solid for the most part on offense as Trevor Lawrence threw for 296 yards and a touchdown, but finding the endzone consistently was a problem. The Rams, who were led by Matthew Stafford's five touchdowns, did not have an issue scoring the ball.
Jacksonville also had 13 penalties for 119 yards.
"I've got to look at the whole thing, ultimately, but not going to stand up here and blame these players," Coen said. "It starts with me."
Considering the Jaguars have already reached their win total from the 2024 season, their 4-3 start should be viewed as a success. But it's clear Coen wants more from both his team and himself.
