Raiders Reportedly 'Open' to Jakobi Meyers Trade, Making Calls for DL, CB Deals
The Las Vegas Raiders reportedly are willing to part ways with one of their lead pass catchers ahead of the deadline on Nov. 4.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Las Vegas is "open" to trading Jakobi Meyers, and the team has been making calls inquiring about defensive lineman and cornerbacks.
The Raiders are 2-4 heading into this week's matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, and they're odds of making the playoffs seem slim, especially in a strong AFC West.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Las Vegas had lost four straight before picking up a win over the Tennessee Titans last week.
Quarterback Geno Smith's struggles haven't helped as the quarterback has thrown for 1,350 yards, seven touchdowns and an NFL-worst 10 interceptions.
The Raiders' early woes likely mean Las Vegas is going to do more selling than buying at this year's deadline, and Meyers is one of its top trade pieces.
The 28-year-old has been solid this season, recording 29 receptions for 329 yards in six games. He's served a solid secondary option to Tre Tucker, who is having a breakout year in his third campaign.
What makes Meyers even more appealing is the fact that he's on an expiring deal, so a trade doesn't mean a long-term commitment to the veteran. Plenty of teams could use an affordable receiver at this point in the season, and Meyers is just that.
One thing teams will keep an eye on is Meyers' injury status. He's currently questionable to play on Sunday because of knee and toe injuries. Head coach Pete Carroll said Meyers "bounced back pretty well" on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday's practices, and the team is "very hopeful that he'll be available."
If Meyers is able to suit up and put together a strong performance on Sunday, it could help the Raiders garner more interest for him before the trade deadline.
