Bengals' Trey Hendrickson Reportedly Not Expected to Be Traded Amid 49ers, NFL Rumors
Despite some playoff contenders keeping an eye on Trey Hendrickson's availability leading up to the NFL trade deadline, the star pass-rusher is likely to play out the 2025 season with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the Bengals aren't shopping Hendrickson and the feeling from most people around the league is he won't be moved by the Nov. 4 deadline.
There are no shortage of teams that would love to have a chance to acquire Hendrickson, but the San Francisco 49ers are the one that has popped up the most frequently with Nick Bosa out for the season due to a torn ACL.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Wednesday that the 49ers consider Hendrickson an "ideal fit" for their defensive scheme and would be willing to give up "reasonable compensation" if the Bengals were to make him available.
The Bengals looked like their season was on the verge of collapsing after losing four straight games following a 2-0 start. They snapped out of the skid on Thursday night with a 33-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Joe Flacco isn't a perfect option at quarterback, but he's been terrific considering he played two games within nine days of being acquired from the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 7. The former Super Bowl MVP has thrown for 561 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions with Cincinnati.
Thursday's win moved the Bengals within 1.5 games of the Steelers in the AFC North. Even if they were to fall out of playoff contention, they aren't a team that historically makes in-season moves.
Including the Flacco deal, the Bengals have made a total of three in-season trades to acquire a player since 1973. That doesn't include the 2011 deal in which they sent Carson Palmer to the Oakland Raiders for two draft picks.
Hendrickson would seem like an obvious trade candidate if the Bengals were to sell. His future with the organization is likely to end after this season given that the team chose not to extend his contract when he held out in the offseason.
Things can always change with the Bengals' thinking with two games remaining before the trade deadline, but it sounds like a lot of the league would be surprised if Hendrickson is wearing a different uniform after the deadline passes.
Hendrickson, who sat out Thursday's game due to a hip injury, has eight quarterback hits and four sacks in six starts this season. He recorded 17.5 sacks in each of the previous two seasons.
